Modern Vintage & Rebel Spirit Compilation

We have partnered up with Rebel Spirit Music to produce a 12 song compilation ALBUM this year. Beginning in March, MVR will be attending Rebel Spirit’s monthly series to check out who’s playing. One performer from each month will be selected to have a song recorded and produced by Modern Vintage Recordings. All production, distribution and promotion costs will be covered by Rebel Spirit Music + Modern Vintage Recordings.

Only artists who perform in the series are eligible to be chosen for the compilation album. Look out for Rebel Spirit Music on Sonicbids and submit for the series. Estimated release date, Jan 2011. Singles will be released monthly. Stay tuned!

New Release

The Whispering Tree’s debut album “Go Call The Captain” to be released April 6th on Modern Vintage. Full of imagery and stories of the human condition, The Whispering Trees songwriting is the backbone of their sound and has been heavily influenced by their travels abroad, which have taken them from South America to China.

We are nearing completion of Misty Boyce’s debut album slated for release in early 2010. As we approach the mixing stage we are really looking forward to sharing this amazing record with everyone.
